During the period of the Cold War, people used the Berlin wall to show their hate against soviets. After the collapse of the wall, graffiti artists, did of the areas that were occupied before by militaries, a playground for them. They could express what they felt and what meant for them to be free.
Thierry Noir, was the first street artist of the Berlin war. He expressed his sensations with cartooning graffitis, which became world famous.

This elephant was one of the first paintings of Noir in the Berlin wall.
Thierry started to paint outside because he wanted to show that you can put art on the streets and don´t have to do it only in museums to galleries. The elephant is the representation of the key to success. It shows the work of the artist every day.
